my ps3 cant Find any updates data in usb

Please help me people ,
i have spent the last 2 days searching for solution with no success !!
i stuck in an update loop so i had to format my hdd
and so i did
and now its asking me to connect storage media that contains update data of version
9.99 or later . and then press START + SELECT buttons at the same time
and i did for 100%
so i tried :

i formatted my hdd from my pc again
its 100% FAT32
I am 100% sure it has no bad sectors
i named the update on my usb stick PS3UPDAT.PUP and i am 100% its inside PS3 > UPDATE > PS3UPDAT.PUP
i tried to name PS3UPDAT.PUP to UPDAT.PUP and i tried PSUPDAT.PUP
i tried multiable OFW and CFW still ps3 cant find any updates
i tried to update from Recovery mode still no chance
i tried another usb stick
i tried to format both usb sticks with tools to FAT32
and still no chance !!
please help

Hi guys

Since my good old phat 60GB YLOD on me I am looking to buy a new model.

Because I live in Belgium/Europe I am looking for the European model (PAL & power) of PS3 slim
CECH-21xxB or CECH-25xxB that are on OFW 3.55 or some CFW already.

Also would prefer a seller in Europe to slim down on the shipping :)

Games not loading after CFW Update

So games like Folklore worked when I was on CFW 4.80 but now that I updated to 4.81 REX CFW the game won't load. Any thoughts? It asked for update of game I did it np but then loads to a black screen.

EDIT: nm works now lol wow that was a long loading time

Hi! I have PS3 slim CECH-2004A. I want to replace original HDD with a 500GB HDD and I don't want to brick or unjailbreak my PS3. I'm on Rebug 4.78 but I don't know what version it is DEX or CEX. On Rebug website latest version is Official – Rebug 4.81.2 – Cobra 7.5 – Toolbox 2.02.12 – Jan 10th. 2017. Can I install this latest version? DEX or CEX? Thanks!

Transferring game data to the external

Hello everyone, I got a simple question here: (Rebug 4.81.2 + the latest multiman)

So I want to transfer the game data and to force the games to install their initial data to he external hardrive. Got a 1tb external hard drive. It has 1 fat partition where I store the gane but I dont know how to force them to install their data there also. I tried game data hdd but when i launch it the HDD dosent change to usb. Also there is another weird thing I have splitted my hard on 5 parts. The multiman dosent detect the ntfs parts. When I toggle multiman into standart cfw mode [(not cobra)im not sure what is the difference] to to and then do the rescan it detects only one ntfs partition. On the other hand the showtime media center detects all partition all the time. I tried to boot into recovery and from there I formatted the disk and restored the table but without any success. Thanks in advance for the help.

Multiman - game options - ext game data turns everything in unrecognizeble format and I cant run anything.

Where to find DLC files from deleted user account? ...also Movian

Hey guys, i installed like 4 DLCs for a game and had it under the "aa" account when I was first starting out.

As we all know, you're suppose to delete that account then make a new one to activate rap files via ReactPSN.


The DLC was kinda hefty in size,
What I would like to know is where I can find it via file manager so I can delete it?

WELL !! its me again

i am going to make this short and easy

my ps3 wont turn on unless i plugged out my hdd

if i insert the hdd the ps will turn off giving me yellow light for a second and then flashing (Red light)

if i plugged the Hdd out it gives me (cannot find internal storage message)

should i try something ?

i tried to connect my e3 flasher to the motherborad to check for the dump
so i made 3 backups
seems like its ok and validated and already patched
any ideas ?

Hey guys, brand new here. I successfully downgraded my PS3 Slim from a 4.xx OFW to Rogero 3.55 and installed multiman just yesterday. I am quite happy with my results so far, but I'm lost on what custom firmware is right for me. I have a large library of ps3 games from old to new that Ive been backing up and some have experienced problems booting which I resolved using some eboot fixes. However, seeing as there are CFWs of up to 4.80 it seems I'm curious as to if my work is needless. Furthermore, I would like to be able to use online for games such as LittleBigPlanet which I know I cannot do atm. Lastly, the PS2 games I had obtained from the PS Store are coming up as unsupported data and I feel a newer CFW could resolve this. The only thing stopping me from proceeding is my lack of knowledge and having seen a lot of posts of people remain on 3.55 which makes me believe there is a reason for doing so. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in enlightening me on what are the cost-benefits of my cfw and ones I should consider upgrading to.

Yes, seem to be no guides on picking your cfw.

I want to know whether I should change my cfw and to what if I should.

My fat cfw ps3 is dying so i got a slim on ofw3.55 and i want to move my internal 1tb from the fat into the slim. I also want to transfer the data but idk how since it'll force me to format.

What is the best way to do it?

PS3NetSrv PS3_Net_Server GUI Not Launching in Windows 10

I couldn't find this issue posted anywhere.

Using the latest (1.46.00) and several previous releases of WebMan-MOD, the PS3_NET_Server.exe will not launch, but the command line utilities appear to work.
There is no error posted, nothing, I've also sucessfully installed Msvbvm50.exe.

This a relatively new and clean Windows 10 install (1 month old).

I was able to get my Windows 10 development box (I'd really prefer to have it working on my server though) to launch the GUI, which makes me think I'm missing a dependency - I'm guessing either .NET or Visual C++.

If anyone has any insight, that'd be greatly appreciated. I attempted to view the source for the GUI program to get an idea about dependencies, but was unable to find it in the webMan-MOD repo

hello i have converted psp iso into ps3 pkg and i installed 2 games(parasite eve 3& syphon filter logans shadow) the thing is each time i start either game i get black screen and the ps3 freeze till i turn it off! if any one know how to play these games on ps3 !-------(another subject) anyone knows a good site where i can download ps2 iso? im looking for a good and clean (24:the game) version ,the one i found online is corrupted or something.

PS3 Slim Stuck on 480P

hello there i am facing a weird problem with my ps3 its display on hdmi cable is stuck on 480p it was working fine few month before
i am running rebug 4.75 CFW i did all the solutions found on different website but no luck getting it back to 1080p
i rest the the graphic setting by pressing holding down the power button it detects hdmi cable and when i press okay same black screen
i replace the cable but same issue
i try ps3 on another tv but same problem
i try to manually configure the hdmi setting but same black screen
it is running on 480p but suddenly the display got black and tv show media resolution not supported by external device
i also rest the ps3 setting in xmb but no luck

some one told me its hardware issue and hdmi port needs to be replace and some says its software issue update to new cfw
can any one tell me what should i do to resolve this problem


an early reply and solution will be highly appreciated

Error when updating to any CFW

I had 3.55 CFW then i installed 4.81 (not sure of the repack but it was CFW).
Then i reverted to 3.55 (that 4.81 was bad).
After that i upgraded to 4.66 (current version on machine).

Now whenever i try to upgrade or downgrade to any CFW i get this error: "Data is corrupted (80039CCA)" before even starting to upgrade.

What i tried:
-Normal upgrade to 4.81 Habib
-Normal downgrade to 3.55 with 999 downgrader
-Recovery menu upgrade/downgrade.

All system if working fine but i cannot upgrade to any version.

Guys I really need help, i just got Payday 2 for my ps3 but whenever I open it, it just makes my ps3 unresponsive and it gives me a black screen. I really want to play that game! Anyone can help?

CECH3k - shuts down in 40sec flat

maybe this is pretty normal for 3k models but I'm trying to stay clear of non-downgradable units and never seen this on any other piece so wouldn't know - but have got these two 3k models by a chance so,,

tried to turn them on and they are acting up and their symptoms are pretty similar - in a way - first one shuts off after 40sec flat, no lights,, have tried to change everything from power board to PSU to cables etc, weirdly enough it turned on simetimes - complaining about software so I tried various ofw's but it gave me all kind of different errors midway the installation that I have never seen and then froze,, after that It went back to a 40sec shut off,,,
the other one acted similarly but the HDD light was on constantly ,, I have managed to run that for some time too , no HDD got recognized but I fixed that by replacing the port, after that it was all good and it asked for a fresh ofw but after some time went back to its 40sec shut off , very weird

anyone working with these models and seen that ? thinking of reballing southbridge, cos it doesn't really look like GPU to me, but then again ,,,
