I just bought a Vita and obviously I'm disappointed in the First Person Shooter offerings. I'm considering purchasing a used PS3 at Gamestop for the purpose of playing something like Battlefield or Call of Duty on my Vita through Remote Play. I understand that you have to have 3.55 Firmware to do so.
So before I make the investment in a PS3, I'd like to ask the community whether this is worth it. I've seen YouTube videos of Battlefield 3 running on a Vita via Remote Play. The videos look fine, but people seem to mention Lag quite a bit. So is it typically really laggy, or can it be tweaked to be playable?
Has anyone been able to get any of the Call of Duty titles to run via Remote Play? Is this worth my time at this point, or is it not really playable. Also, if you do get this working, is it still possible to play online in some way (PSN or other)?
Figured that I'd ask you experienced hackers before I jump in. I'm very comfortable with hacking and I'm not a Pirate in any way. If I do this, I'll be using legit original disks that I purchase. Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
