Jailbreak on one hdd, OFW on another hdd?

Hello guys,
i was wondering, if it is possible to have 2 different harddrives for the PS3?
Right now I have the OFW 3.41 installed with a PS3Break dongle. But I would also like to use the newest firmware and play some original new games.

If that is possible, how do i have to do this? Just buy another HDD, connect it with the PS3 and install the newest Firmware on it?
