Just a little idea about psp and ps2 emulation on ps3

I'm not sure where to put this but maybe yall can shed light on it.

I know we can put a Linux os on the PS3. (Awsome if you ask me) so why do we have issues with playing emulations on the ps3?

Reason why I ask is I have an emulation software for both PS2 and PSP on my PC. Of course it is for windows but why not put a version of it for Linux on the ps3. would it not work?


Just an idea. PS3 homebrew creation is not my thing. I'll stick with PSP and pc programming haha
