Total noob...

Hi all,

I'm a total noob regarding the ps3 jailbreaking scene. I hope you guys can help me out:D

So, I want a jailbroken PS3. I think that is clear enough:P
But, I don't no what to do.
I already have a ps3, but I dont want to jailbreak that one. That for playing online games etc.

I want to buy an extra ps3, to jailbreak(without psn access).
What are the thing I need to look for? The easiest thing to do, is to buy a jailbroken ps3(expensive option). Cheapest option is to buy a ps3(what firmware should it be?) and jailbreak it myself. I have seen some vids on YT, claiming it can downgrade to 3.55 when you are on 4.31. Is this true? Or can I only do a hardware downgrade?
