I heard there are multiple 4.XX CFWs and I am having difficulty deciding which is the best one to use currently.
What recommendations do you have for me?
Are there really any distinct unique features that give one of these CFWs over another?
My PS3 Slim is currently on 3.55 KMEAW CFW btw. I had not really touched my PS3 for a while, so I've fallen quite behind and starting to catch up. I decided to wait awhile to let a lot of homebrew apps be available public before I decide which ones I really want or need.
Anyways, I have heard many said Rogero 4.30/4.31 CFW is the best one to use.
Then I also heard some good things about the Ermac 4.XX CFW, and don't remember what the other 4.XX CFW options are. I am only assuming it should be around 5-6 different ones, maybe less maybe more, just can't really remember.
One other question I have is regarding the current Homebrew compatibility.
So I've read that all the previous Homebrew apps that were made for or released in the 3.55 CFW period now longer works on the latest 4.XX CFWs?
Is that entirely true or correct?
Or am I missing something?
Because I still want to be able to use the latest version of the FinalBurn emulator (FBANext r490) on the much more current 4.XX CFWs, unless there are other better alternatives such as MAME, etc.,...
Also are there any other important or really good known homebrew apps that are no longer compatible on 4.XX CFWs? It just helps me decide better before I decide to update but of course there is always the downgrade back to 3.55 CFW option if I remembered correctly.
