So I noticed that after 15 min of playing assassins creed 3 the fan was getting loud
Well I did some research and found out the paste needed to be redone.. told my self ill get around to it. Well anyways I beat AC3 n started a new game. Well after playing this new game for ten min it shut down and started blinking red.
Well I said I guess this is a good time to do the paste.
Started taking it apart and noticed someone's already been in here. The hex screw was missing warranty sticker was voided and the top ps3 cover was glued on!! Wtf.
Well I get the glue apart and get the top off. Start taking screws out and 50 % of them are missing. I get down to the plates that hold the fan to the MB? . Looks like they were
jammed in there heads of screws where stripped. This thing is a night mare screw threads are stripped. Anyways I repaste it start putting it back together and one of the screws that hold the fan to the board snap off. Guess I'm fked now. I put it all back together the best I can. Notice the flat data cable that goes to the power/eject is also destroyed. So I have it all back together try to turn it on and no lights. Hit the controller it turns on fan goes crazy and system shuts off. Now won't turn back on. Should I just throw this thing in the trash?
