Dawnguard on ps3 skyrim (work in progress)

just figured that all this may be the rambilings of a mad man lol so no need to take it to hart tho you should be able to get something out of this so i figured i would post it. just wait for my video tutorials and follow up post ill put up here in a week or so depending on how quick i can get home.

Today I want to share how to get dawnguard or hearthfires working on the ps3 version of skyrim.

Hearthfires works with no issues

Dawnguard works with min. issues: before it was reported that dawnguard kinda works. But couldn’t get some monsters to work when active. Animals and certain NPCs would be stuck in a T pose when dawnguard was active but now I will show you how to get it to work wile also having all monsters work and all animations work with out the t pose problem

STEP 1: obtain dawnguard.bsa and dawnguard.esm, a ps3 with read / wrighte acsess, and skyrim for ps3.

STEP 2: back up skyrim for PS3 using multiman.

STEP 3: download update for PS3 skyrim 1.06 ( or any for that matter)
STEP 4: go into game > BLUS(SKYRIM the blus for the update not the chace) > navigate to skyrim folder with UPDATE.ESM.

STEP 5: DELETE UPDATE.ESM and place DAWNGUARD.ESM into the folder were UPDATE.ESM is and rename DAWNGUARD.ESM to UPDATE.ESM

STEP 6: then copy and place DAWNGUARD.BSA into all three skyrim folders BLUSUPDATE, BLUSCHACHE, and GAME BLUS (the backup)

STEP 7: extract SKYRIM.INI and open it up in a text editor and type , SKYRIM – ANIMATIONS.BSA under resourceArchive2:
The goal is to redefine SKYRIM – ANIMATIONS.BSA at the very end of the load order. So now in SKYRIM.INI ; SKYRIM – ANIMATIONS.BSA should be defined 2 times. One orignaly by the game and the 2nd would be what you just did now by adding SKYRIM – ANIMATIONS to the 2nd arvhive loader.

This is just one method of getting it to work. And even with this method you may still get a freeze when you see the vampire lord. But then again you may not. I have not tested it this far and if it dose freze at the vampire lord ill get to it and see it and if I do come across it I will edit some models and textures in dawnguard.bsa that would cause this. And upload the fix when I can.

Another method is to simply place dawnguard.bsa and dawnguard.esm into GAME > SKYRIM BUILD USRDR (not game like last method) and then define DAWNGUARD.ESM right after SKYRIM.ESM and before the .bsa’s in essentialarchive:
Then define it again under resourcearchive: as the first file to be loaded.

Then define DAWNGAURD.BSA last in resourcearvhice 1 or 2. Then define SKYRIM – ANIMATIONS.BSA again last under resourcearchive2:


OK so go ahead and try that. This methods also work for hearthfires.esm and herthfires.bsa, I have been building houses and stuff no problem and its so so so fun.

Now that I stated all of this let me take a moment to tell you what you can see from me in the soon future.

I am going to publish a mini series of videos on youtube explaining how to get any and all mods working for skyrim with such ease. Literly 100% of all mods on skyrim nexus work for the ps3 version. The only mods that don’t work is ones that are dependent on a script extendor like SKSE.
I will also try to upload via torrent my 300+ ps3 mod build for ps3 skyrim. Includeing cannabis mod. King or riverhelm. Farming. 150+ new wepons, flintlock pistols and rifles. And much much much more.
Be so carefull when your on the skyrim nexus. The admins there will do all that they can to keep you off there site if they figure out that you work with the ps3. I have came across a lot of reslince on this website and I have been banned over a dozen times. They will call you a lie and will claim it is 100% impossible to get mods working on ps3. Before they ban you.
These people are money hungry and do not understand the state of law with in the US that allows us to leagaly do what we are doing.
It’s a shame that the law system here in us falls on the side of big wig corporations. And not for the true law of consumer rights.

I have been stuck in Ocala florida at my boss’s familys home. We came down here for just the holidays and my boss ended up brakeing his leg on Christmas. So now im stuck here for a week now more then we should and I have not been able to get back to my workstation.

When I do get back to my workstation ill get right on top of releaseing information on my work and productions.

Im also working on a portable lightweight version of my gameing homebrew engine that will run on ps3 cfw and hbl / VHBL.
I will also re do this tutorial on how to get dawnguard or hearthfires and any other mod working on the ps3 version of skyrim and then ill include pictures and video and maby even some dl links if nesesary.

if you have issues with the intro cart flying in air and freezing: then what you will have to do is wait for my fix but in the mean time start a new game with no mods. save after intro. then install .bsa .esm and mods then play

let me just say that i have all the respect in the world for skyrim nexus and even tho there motivs is what they is...
i still love them and relise my work would not be able with out them. so thank you skyrim nexus and thank you ps3 hax. when i get back home ill teach everyone how to use loosely packed data mods with ps3 skyrim as they work best then defining and/or packing a .bsa and presenting it to the game... even tho they both work great no problems... what the heck ill go into it right now... download your losely packed data. download XYPLORER. open up the losely packed data folder i.e: textures, strings, meshes ect. highlight the root folder contaINING all treed folders and then go up to view in XYPLORER and then click on expand folder tree. then ctrl + a all folders ( highlight all the folders and files that were expanded) then right click
then navigate to NEWNAME.NAME or AAA AAA.AAA the goal is to use XYPlorer to captilize any and all files folders and extentions all at once...

once you have all your files and folders capped out drop MESHES, TEXTURES, STINGS .ect into GAME > USDRSKYRIM> place folders in same folder as SKYRIM.ESM

NOTE: that any lose packed data will load automaticly unless the reousrce files are defined by the mod author to work by use of .ESP

I AM GOING to fix aLL of this and make a video tutorial explaining step by step just what to do to get anything and everything working once i get home

for now load a single .ESP at a time by renameing NAME.ESP to UPDATE.ESM and replaceing UPDATE.ESM with the new UPDATE.ESM then place its respected .bsa inside all 3 skyrim installation folders unless you are useing loosely packed data to where u just need to make sure everything is captilized and placed inside skyrims GAME folder wherwe SKYRIM.ESM is located...
if done correctly you should be able to get for exsample all of SKYRIM 2K HD Textures working on ps3 version.
when i get back home ill do a better tutorial and also show how to load multiple .ESPs at once.
ill also show you how to defineps3 to use more emulated ram
by defining a few things allocated settings in SKYRIM.INI

and once again. sorry for my spelling. im sure ill here it from someone lo :) haha much luv ps3hax4life
