OK so i got a new idea. Like probably most of people who play Skyrim on console, I keep wishing that mods were available for console users. I've installed mods on the PC for Oblivion, and it is just adding to and editing the data files. I wondered if there was a way to edit the data files on the console to add mods to the game. Here is what I thought: What if i just connected an HDD with the PS3 Skyrim data to my computer and edited the files like that?
Of course, it is not that easy.
I popped open my computer and unplugged the SATA cables from my CD-ROM drive and plugged them into my PS3 HDD.(I was using a backup HDD so that i wouldn't accidentally ruin the one with all my game data on it.) I booted up the computer, but it doesn't show the PS3 HDD in computer properties, but i can still boot with it when i look at my computer's boot settings. So, has anyone actually tried this or thinks they can figure out a way for it to work? i know the HDD is probably encoded so if anyone who reads this is good with decoding the files on the PS3, then talk to me. Thanks, guys!
