Describe your problem:
[I have several game backups that I have attempted to play using multiman 4.0.0. I follow the various guides posted here and elsewhere to mount my backup and run the games via XMB. However, in every instance I get the following error message: "An error occurred during the start operation (80010017)."
I am aware of the fact that some games require an eboot fix. Following various guides I drag and drop the appropriate files onto the ebootfix.exe, but I get the following error message: "self_decrypt_header failed. Perror: no such file directory." In addition to this ebootfix error, windows informs me that "make_self_npdrm.exe has stopped working."
Unfortunately I seem to run into a lot of conflicting information. For instance one guide suggested installing the kweam patch to play backups, but from what I gather the patch is only intended to restore Blu-Ray functionality (for BDemu purposes?) Other guides suggested that I shadow mount games in multiman ( press R3 on the PS3_Game folder), but none of them have helped me any.
I am not sure what the issue is, but I suspect that I am making some sort of noob mistake. I am hoping someone can explain what I am doing wrong.
In the meantime I will just have to resign myself to enjoying the other features of running a cfw, such as being able to cheat (code unique) on the games that I still have working copies of.]
