Hi Everyone,
I have a PS bought in the US, manufactured in 2008.
Model Number: CECHE01
Current Original version 4.20.
Warranty: Out of warranty
Problem: Error Update Loop 8002F1F9
1. Tried but Failed Solutions: Searched a lot for solutions online. I have checked and double checked all my internal wire connections of the wifi card and the blu ray.I have also tried switching the ends of the wire but doesn't work still.
2. I have removed the hard disk, formatted with NTFS, gone into recovery mode and tried system update using external usb (FAT 32). Tried this 4 times but same update error loop pops up.
3. Update error loop at 74%. So I checked http://forums.cvxgameconsolerepair.c...hp?f=12&t=1951 which says its a bluray check problem. I checked my wire connections again, but it gets stuck at the same error still.
One Solutions mentioned at the above link is to use a modified PS3UPDAT.PUP which bypasses the bluray check.
If someone could please help me get this, I'll owe this to them big time. I've tried searching a lot for a modified PUP but all of them ask me to downgrade to 3.55.
I've read on the sticky thread in this forum that its not possible to downgrade without a hardware reset.
Any advise and direction towards getting it fixed will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
