Last console gen a game magazine with playable demos costed £4.99 but now it increased to £5.99 and if it's imported to a country with the Euro currency the prices rises even more to 9.99.
Personally, last gen I did buy game magazines with playable demos but I don't do it any more as I can get them for free on the marketplaces and those £6 can be used to bought an actual full game instead of a demo.
And for game news, there's the internet.
Note: I know that around the world there's still plenty of crappy ISP but even with a mediocre ISP (I had a shítty one that didn't even reach 1 Mb/s of download speed let alone upload, which was 45 Kb/s) the user can download the stuff he/she wants without needing a damn magazine.
