I just bought a 80GB PS3 CECHL01 on eBay for $67. It's like new and still had the warranty sticker intact and i was very surprised when I received it! I was told it was stuck in an update loop so i figured hey that should be fixable right So i fired it up and the first thing i see is plug in the controller with the usb and then it popped up. The system software cannot run correctly. Press the PS button to try to restart the system.
If system cannot be restarted, the system partition of the hard disk must be reformatted and you must reinstall the system software. Insert storage media of version 2.80 or later. I'm sure you know the rest but i was like 2.80 So i tried to update it with the 2.80 and after about 10 minutes it comes up with error 8001002B (Failed to access data) So i tried it a few more times and it came up the same and even software can't be found! Well from there i have tried every option that i know of to fix it. I swapped out the hdd with multiple other ones and using different formats, tried using everything in safe mode and pretty much got nothing but can't access hdd and 8002F281 (Issue with the PS3 hard drive) If any body could help me i sure would appreciate it!!
