I have 2 broken PS3's at home, one phat with YLOD that all repair attempts failed and one working phat with a blue ray drive that does not eject or take in disks.
In theory it seemed a simple task to put the working bluray from the YLOD one in to the faulty drive one switch logic boards, however after doing this the PS3 still will not take in disks. I can only assume that the fault was not with the drive mechanism but the actual board itself. Is there any way to repair this at all or am i stuck with two useless PS3's?. I would like to add both are on the latest offical firmware.
